FNB Real Estate Management Services has made a significant move by appointing Minah Jiyana as their new Chief Financial Officer. This strategic decision marks a promising direction for the company, leveraging Jiyana’s extensive experience and impressive academic background.

Jiyana takes on the role effective April 2024, signaling a new chapter in her career within the real estate sector. Her previous tenure at Standard Bank South Africa as Head of Finance for Business Performance notably equipped her with invaluable skills in financial management and strategic planning, which she will undoubtedly bring into her new role at FNB.

Educationally, Minah Jiyana is a seasoned scholar. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of the Witwatersrand, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting Sciences from the University of South Africa. Further solidifying her expertise, Jiyana earned a Master of Business Administration from MANCOSA in 2022 and is a registered CA (SA) with SAICA.

Her professional journey is studded with significant roles, including a managerial position in Business Analysis, Retention & Portfolio Management at Standard Bank, where she was pivotal in driving sales strategies and managing a portfolio of significant size. Before that, she served as Finance Manager in the Credit Card Division at the same institution, where she was responsible for crucial financial evaluations and project management.

Jiyana’s approach is marked by a commitment to enhancing financial governance and implementing advanced statistical models to aid in performance forecasting—a skill set she refined during her impressive seven-year stint at Standard Bank. Her career achievements include the successful implementation of a cross-skilling training program aimed at enhancing the capabilities of finance and non-finance professionals alike.

In her new role as CFO of FNB Real Estate Services, Jiyana is poised to steer the financial direction of the company towards sustainable growth. Her ability to provide comprehensive financial insights and manage stakeholder relations has been well-documented and will be integral in her efforts to optimize the financial health of FNB’s real estate division.
